Special Note: ELA Summer Academy, May 31-June 29, 2012, is an invaluable hands-on opportunity for you. This academy gives you the chance to work with a master teacher in a classroom, extend, learn, and practice your ELL teaching strategies, and get to know the types of students you'll be teaching.

Take a look at the courses available for new-to-district educators
A few things you need to know:
- Those hired prior to May 15, 2012 will be required to participate in the ELA Summer Academy. More information is available here.
- Whether you are initially, alternately, or professionally licensed you have responsibilities around induction. Please visit the induction page for more specific information.
- Learn about LEAP - Your school/principal should be informing you of the process, however, you are welcome to visit the LEAP website for more information.
